Bessemer City school officials and Alabama National Guard members teamed up to offer COVID-19 vaccines to students 16 years and older Thursday.
Bessemer schools, with help from multiple state agencies, offered the Pfizer vaccine to 400 juniors and seniors on Thursday at the city’s high school, in an effort, student support director Barbara McCoy said, to get more students back to classrooms.
