Alaska Small Business Development Center Releases COVID-19 Impact Data on Small Businesses Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Small Business Development Center has released its preliminary COVID-19 impact survey results on small businesses spanning the state. The aim of the survey was to get a gauge on how COVID relief funding was deployed, and what gaps still need to be filled by remaining funding. Executive Director of the Alaska Small Business Development Center, Jon Bittner, was asked about the businesses that accessed Paycheck Protection Program funding and he said that program was the largest source of relief funding for businesses in Alaska and nationwide but not everyone went back for the second round because of businesses expereiencing a faster recovery, the eligibility was not the same, or that businesses did not need the funding.
