A SPECTACULAR soul show is heading to Blackburn over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The live show announced for King George's Hall will feature Alexander O'Neal, Shalamar, Gwen Dickey - the voice of Rose Royce and Odyssey. Alexander O'Neal is known for his string of hits including Criticize and Fake and he remains one of the most popular live soul singers. Shalamar currently featuring original members Howard Hewett and Jeffrey Daniel plus Carolyn Griffey were behind a series of monster hits in the early Eighties including Night to Remember, I Can Make You Feel Good and There It Is. Fans of a certain age will also remember the first time they saw Jeffrey Daniel 'moonwalk' on Top of the Pops. He is credited with teaching Michael Jackson how to do it.
