A HEARTBROKEN granddad has paid tribute to "creative and imaginative" Alfie Scott following the nine-year-old's death last month. The unexplained death of Alfie, a pupil of Witton Middle School, took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, after he had been airlifted from his home in Copcut, Droitwich on Thursday, February 18. A 33-year-old woman was arrested for suspected child neglect and a 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Both were released on bail on Friday, February 19. The latest West Mercia Police statement says "the circumstances around his death are unexplained and a full and detailed investigation is on-going" before asking "for people not to write speculative comments that may impact upon the investigation" and requesting privacy on behalf of the family.
