Well yes what we can show you right now as we just get into a secure position here a semi is riot Police Moving down from this end of the road. And you can see them right there they this was just a few moments ago full of protesters and they were being heavily bombarded with tear gas and like i mentioned before we did see some other forms of weapons used bean bag rounds which theyve used here over the course of the last 3 months and perhaps rubber coated bullets as well as want to show you this way this is the building of attention you see the whites in blue plastic barricades that have been in place really since july 1st after that storming of ledge co as its known basically hong kongs parliament by the protesters so this is why this area is sensitive today so the protesters came looking marching around peacefully for the last few hours in different parts of hong kong they came to the Legislative Council and stopped and thats when the tension started so theres an overpass here as well so the protesters were up there they were down here firing or throwing rather rocks and bricks into the lead some of the Council Buildings where there was a heavy Police Presence these guys want to come through here pretty. Swiftly well just make sure we get out of their way safely. Behind us where were walking towards and well show you that soon hopefully there are still raw still protests as they are still camped out there this is being quite a stubborn effort from the protesters i have to say compared with what we have seen in the past and were just going to keep moving down here if youll stick with us sammy the reason i say its being stubborn because i think we referred to it before in the past. You know theyve come to a place like this apart from july 1st when they attacked the building itself that was a bit different but in other parts of the city there tended to come to a location stay there for a while block streets and then the police will move in fairly quickly and clear the scene away in the protesters and retreat not necessarily go home but theyll go to another part of the city and try the same thing again perhaps in smaller numbers today it seems to have been different the protest is. Set on this road for quite some time and really continued to fight with the riot police who are behind those barricades for the most part and were firing back at them with those to get rounds and other things water cannon as well further down there there are still thousands of protesters i can see them in the distance they are starting to move away i dont think we should suggest that this is the end of it because we had huge numbers on the streets today to say mostly peaceful marching around the city certainly blocking roads because there were so many of them but i think too early again to say this is over because there are so many of them still on the streets i heard you talking about the before i can confirm that petrol bombs were thrown from the protest is into the Legislative Council compound this is a relatively new tactic we saw a few petrol bombs thrown by the protest is last weekend and that was one of the Reasons Police said that they denied permission to todays rally to take place todays march right in the heart of Hong Kong Island because the so many build. A high rise building its so heavily populated that they said that the petrol bombs was a new technique by the protesters and that was one of the reasons they said that it could not take place and weve seen them throwing them into that compound in the last hour or so well is that still going on is this one of we witnessing you know kind of a big clash developing here. That might lead protesters i guess dispersing away i assume it is the right police come then perhaps if we manage design so become things going on youre probably referring. Sure it is a very confusing situation these things tend to happen very very quickly and i think if we look down this way you can see the people in the distance down there that is the protesters perhaps that you were referring to so it looks like that rich that were treated off into the distance there. Away from this part of the Legislative Council buildings riot police still stationary behind us here they continue to push down the street a little bit then stopping for a while but the for the moment this area where we saw all those battles taking place. For the moment its clear we. Are speeding now were actually had come up to where i was side of the screen they way in where they the protesters seem to be taking sections of the famous and setting up some kind of defensive position so i guess this is the protesters digging in right now and reorganizing themselves. That could possibly be will continue to walk down this way if you can stick without pictures well sammy just in case the area youre talking about is further down here this Legislative Council complex is huge to Big Government buildings it takes up basically a whole block so this again was where that battle took place where walking now away from the riot police at this in towards the remaining protesters and i say remaining lightly because its not like this just a few of them there are still thousands on the streets i cant see the area that youre referring to but. Up here and if we turn the corner list we may not have time for that right now but that is the area where they went into the Parliament Building on july the 1st so that could be part of the complex where theyre attempting to go and again again i cant see that no evidence of it just yet i just want to repeat though that even though the syria is clear there is a huge crowd still down here. Conviction rate so no one in hong kong wants to see that so thats how this started but it is going way beyond that now it is about chinese influence its about the future of this territory its about the young people of this territory of this city wanting to take control of that of the future because you know weve been saying this from day one semi really these for the most part the protest is a very young theyre in the very early twentys a lot of them even younger teenagers and you know remembering that that period of one country 2 systems comes to an end in 2047 these guys will just be in their fortys perhaps a 50 some of them younger then and they are worried about what it means after that what will hong kong look like so its become about much more than the extradition bill its become about universal suffrage they want to say in voting for the chief executive other members of. Parliament ethically effectively the politicians use it in this very building that theyve attacked today so. That building is massive and weve got the chief Government Office which is where kerry land presides that spain offices and as i mentioned as well the chinese army thats they mind saying today it is a very politically sensitive and i protected area here in Central Hong Kong but what i see in front of me is there knowing that there are no protesters in front of me again weve got wind behind me so from that direction which is to the east thats where the protesters have dispersed in front of me the entire streets right here have been cleared its mine the press of course the place we have in this front line right behind me but just because they put their masks and shields down doesnt mean its finished.
