I think so i think so i think all the votes everybody whos eligible to vote should vote i think all the votes of eligible voters should be counted no matter how long it takes but this is a big operation these are millions and millions of people trying to do roughly the same thing and in a pretty short window you know this is a lot of stuff to process through a mail system through postal system as you noted which is undergoing some changes there are you know in person voting is the voting stations are manned by by local citizens right this this is a machine that gears up every couple years and it can be pretty easily i think feel some strength. Well right now by my count were still 46 days out from the election i know a lot can happen in that time but also these latest polls are showing a fairly wide margin for biden in some pretty key battleground states what do you make of those. Thats a really good point i think that if you look at the polling over time sort of the polls over serve a stretch of time President Trump is hanging out in the low to mid fortys Vice President biden is in sort of the low fiftys around 50 percent but more importantly if you look at key states as you noted Vice President biden has some pretty strong and consistent leads again this new polling from rustbelt rising which is a Democratic Group has biden pretty strongly in michigan wisconsin pennsylvania its much tighter in ohio where its within the margin of error and most polling i think sees a high it was really. Maybe more for trump that that for by if this point well we also have 3 debates between trump and biden between now and the election given the numbers that we are seeing now how much of an impact do you think those could have could they change everything. Debates i think report for a couple of reasons one is its just important for democracy we get to look at our leaders and would be leaders in the eye even if its only virtually its a its a way to get all of us to get involved in a political process to participate in politics before voting historically most research on debates finds it makes a bit of a difference around the margins and it is a good educational tool we dont know about the candidates we learn about them during the debates i think in this case people know where they stand most polling key states and nationally has the undecided voters around 1234 percent you know people know how they feel about President Trump i think with these debates might you if i were a republican is look at the debate so you know a President Trump yeah you know maybe he should tweet less but hes right on the issues hes appointing the choices i like like the tax cuts and i think some potential biden voters will look at the debates and say ok he really this call is he really together from a liberal is he speaking to me enough and if im a moderate is he not listening to the liberals too much appears i want to ask you very briefly about the result that south president tom has been working very hard to cost 1000 any outcome especially with his comments about the postal ballots as she had to say how much trust do you think there is in this election and its results i think both sides of polling ive seen indicates that both sides are skeptical of the result if their if their side loses which is not surprising right you never really like the rest i think its unfortunate that some elected officials and some candidates are writing a process be still asleep
