The alleged director of a plot to raid a security van in west Belfast must remain in custody, a High Court judge has ruled. Jason McMillan was refused bail amid claims that he was part of a gang that planned to carry out a cash-in-transit heist. The 30-year-old was among three men arrested last month during a police surveillance operation. Two co-accused were detained after officers intervened at shops in the Northumberland Road area on March 6. The pair were in a car from which a loaded gun was recovered, prosecutors said. McMillan, of Duncairn Parade in the city, was arrested separately and faces a single charge of conspiracy to rob.
