By Kelly Meyer by Kevin Zimmermann (WHBL) – A $100,000 donation from Alliant Energy is helping to spread some extra holiday cheer to families struggling with food insecurities. In Wisconsin, Alliant Energy’s partnership with Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin will provide 1,000 food boxes to families. A similar campaign is underway in Iowa. Patrick Boyle, the Executive Director of the Sheboygan County Food Bank said that Alliant Energy’s efforts will help meet the dramatic increase in demand for emergency food during this difficult time, and added that “We will never forget the kindness, generosity and love that they continue to share with their neighbors.” Boyle said that thousands of families have already been helped by the Alliant Energy Foundation, and that the holiday donation is even more appreciated.
