Amazon pledges $2 billion for affordable housing in Puget Sound region, other hubs

Amazon is committing more than $2 billion in loans and grants toward creating and preserving affordable housing in the Puget Sound region and its other hubs across the country.
The company this week announced its new Housing Equity Fund, which will provide below-market loans and grants to a variety of housing partners, agencies and organizations to help build and preserve affordable housing developments.
"Amazon has a long-standing commitment to helping people in need, including the Mary’s Place family shelter we built inside our Puget Sound headquarters. The shelter now supports over 200 women and children experiencing homelessness every night," said Jeff Bezos, Amazon Founder and CEO.
