Upcoming Shows The Garden District Book Shop is hosting a reception for the book "Can't Be Faded:Twenty Years in the New Orleans Brass Band Game" with co-authors Kyle DeCoste and Stooges Brass Band on July 15 at The Rink. The GDBS team and band members alike are thrilled to finally be able to celebrate this book with the people of New Orleans. The Stooges Brass Band has earned their rank as one of the elite brass bands in New Orleans. Emerging onto the scene in 1996, the Stooges Brass Band gained notoriety as a full-blown musical party immersing their crowds in a cut-loose vibe that is contemporary yet deeply rooted in the culturally rich musical legacy of New Orleans.
