Thursday, July 15, 2021 - 6:00pm The Garden District Book Shop will host an evening honoring the release of “Can’t Be Faded: Twenty Years in the New Orleans Brass Band Game” by co-authors Stooges Brass Band and Kyle DeCoste on July 15 at the historic Rink (2727 Prytania Street.) The event will begin at 6:00 PM with a welcome reception featuring snacks and beverages provided by The Garden District Book Shop. DeCoste and bandleader Walter Ramsey will then share insights from the book where they will take guests through the barrooms, practice rooms, studios, tour vans and streets where the music was made. The discussion will be followed by a brief Q&A and an exclusive performance from the Stooges Brass Band. After the performance, co-authors DeCoste and members of Stooges Brass Band (Andrew Baham, Walter Ramsey and Virgil Tiller) will be available to sign and personalize books. ....

The Stooges Brass Band has earned their rank as one of the elite brass bands in New Orleans.
