Representational Image A mind-boggling number which is indicative of the success of the welfare initiatives launched by the present Government is YSRCP candidates winning a whopping 81.1 % (2637) of panchayats in phase 1 while the Telugu Desam Party crawled its way to an abysmal 15% (508). A total of 98 were won by others. The number is expected to increase as the results of 6 panchayats are still awaited. The Telugu Desam Party faces unfathomable humiliation due to the party’s dismal performance in its age-old bastions. Despite all the false propaganda, the party’s senior leaders and former ministers failing to secure even a decent number of Panchayats in their respective constituencies, starting from Chandra Babu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh himself, speaks volumes about the resentment exhibited by the voters.
