ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — If ever there was a year when angels were needed, 2020 was it. But we were in luck. In spite of the cynicism, shutdowns, and separation from our families, friends and normal way of life, we had plenty of angels among us to pull us through and put smiles on our faces. Angels sewed and distributed masks. They drove by our homes in parades to celebrate our birthdays. They visited the elderly through the windows of nursing homes. They donated what they had to good causes. They voted. They stayed home, wore masks, kept their distance to keep us safe.
