Animal lovers have been left outraged after dog snatchers attempted to break into an Irish animal sanctuary.
PAWS Animal Rescue Ireland in Co. Tipperary said on Friday last that individuals had tried to gain access to the sanctuary's kennels on Wednesday last.
Posting CCTV footage and images of the attempted break-in on their Facebook page, the animal rescue centre urged anyone with information to contact Gardaí.
The post read: "Attempted break in at PAWS Wednesday 10th between 9pm and 9.30pm.
"Why? Who knows. Neutered, microchipped retired greyhounds are of no use to anyone except adopters. Clonmel /Fethard Gardaí would appreciate any information (052) 613 1202/6177640."
