Ann Arbor all aglow for alternative FoolMoon event Updated 10:14 PM; Facebook Share ANN ARBOR – An annual light-up celebration in downtown Ann Arbor took a more informal approach this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. In place of the usual luminary parade and large public gathering associated with FoolMoon, WonderFool Productions partnered with Ann Arbor businesses and BrushMonkeys mural artists to set up a “stroll and roll” event that had visitors traveling across downtown, Kerrytown and State Street instead of gathering in one place. Visitors decked out in neon-colored glowing costumes - many carrying the light-up papier-mache sculptures for which the event is known - made their own parade through downtown, stopping to snap selfies, take in live music and patronize dozens of businesses that stayed open late for the event.
