And, unlike last weekend, when coming back south to Rochester was impacted, this weekend, going UP to the Twin Cities along northbound Highway-52 (which we've all traveled on too many times to count, right?) could take you some extra time. That's because the section of southbound Highway-52 (U.S. Highway 52, if you're being all specific) between I-494 in Inver Grove Heights north to I-94 in Saint Paul will be closed. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says that the northbound stretch of Highway-52 starting at I-494 north to Plato Blvd will be closed from 9 pm Friday, May 14th through 5 am Monday, May 17th.
