Answer Man: Lake Julian coal plant demolition ongoing? Trash pickup?

Today’s batch of burning questions, my smart-aleck answers and the real deal:
Question: Since the Duke Energy power plant at Lake Julian stopped using coal, the huge scrubber smoke stack has been removed. Are there any plans to remove any other buildings on site that were used during its coal burning days?
My answer: Well, I don't really see any need for the coal-fired brewpub operation out there. I mean, that was a nice Asheville touch, turning lake water into craft beer, but natural gas would probably be a lot cleaner way to make the high-end suds.
Real answer: Duke Energy spokesman Bill Norton had the answers on this one, saying they've made great progress on the demolition of the retired coal-fired plant, which started about a year ago.
