Appleton council passes resolution supporting the elimination of discrimination against women

APPLETON - The Common Council passed a resolution this week affirming fundamental human rights and equality for women and the elimination of political, social economic and cultural discrimination against women.
The resolution encourages city staff and elected officials to advise the council of any changes in policy or practices they think would help Appleton align with the tenets of the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
