Gov. Mike DeWine's announcement on Monday that Ohio is entering phase 1C of vaccine distribution means that 941,000 more Ohioans will be eligible to obtain the vaccine starting Thursday. There are some exceptions, but most of the eligible people are based on those over 60 years of age. Beginning March 29, Ohio will open eligibility to all adults across, DeWine announced. DeWine moved to open eligibility for the shot again this week in Ohio after president Joe Biden announced earlier in March that he would push states to offer vaccines to all adult Americans by May 1.
