Article content On his new album, In Standard Definition, Victoria musician Art d’Ecco expands his sonic template further into classic glam rock territory first explored on his acclaimed debut Trespasser. Singles such as I Am the Dance Floor or Desire still pack the same solid punchy bass lines, taut drums and popping keyboards that made Never Tell or Nobody’s Home so appealing. But where the earlier tunes were quite stripped down, the new material features a lot more variety in the instrumentation and the artist has discovered more means to express himself vocally.
