POTTSVILLE — A Pottsville man charged with assaulting a registered nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill S. Jackson Street on Sept. 22 appeared for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley.
Cornell B. Randall, 18, of 820 Mahantongo St., was arrested by Pottsville police Patrolman Anna Flail and charged with one count each of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
Prosecutors withdrew the charge of aggravated assault and Randall waived the remaining offenses to Schuylkill County Court, where he can plead guilty or enter a not guilty plea and request a trial.
Flail charged Randall with assaulting nurse John Bubnis while being placed in restraints in the seclusion room.
