As temperatures fall, homeless shelters are more needed than ever. Meeting those needs can be a challenge during a pandemic.

Wisconsin is covered in snow and all that snow is helping to keep temperatures really cold in the state so far this month.
APPLETON - As overnight low temperatures this week plunge well below zero across Wisconsin, homeless shelters statewide face the critical mission of sheltering people from cold winter temperatures.
That used to be a matter of getting people out of the cold and inside. Their mission this winter is complicated by COVID-19: shelters are balancing taking people in off the streets so they do not die from hypothermia with COVID-19 precautions.
