Ascension Borgess cancer center set to open September 2021

KALAMAZOO, MI -- The Ascension Medical Group Borgess Cancer Center is on track to open September 2021, the healthcare system announced.
The 38,000-square-foot facility is located near the intersection of Stadium Drive and Drake Road in Oshtemo Township.
Construction crews broke ground in August 2020. The facility is being built in the newly completed second phase of Western Michigan University’s Business, Technology and Research Park.
The multi-level building will offer medical oncology, hematology and infusion services, according to a news release from Ascension Borgess.
Hiring has begun for 46 full-time positions, ranging from pharmacists to oncology specialty nurses. The center will also employ 12 oncology physicians and specialists.
