Read Article AUBURN — The school department has developed a plan for students to return to school in the fall fully in person under pandemic guidelines. Those safety guidelines, set by the Maine Department of Education, likely will evolve over the summer as more people of all ages are vaccinated. Those changes will be reflected in the reentry plan. The document developed by the district’s Health and Safety Reentry Steering Committee was discussed briefly by the School Committee on Wednesday night. Member Korin McGuigan wondered how elementary schools would be able to comply with the social distancing mandate of keeping all children at least 3 feet apart.
