The NCERT said it had no information to back its history textbook claim that Aurangazeb gave grants to rebuild temples.

New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in its history school textbook claimed that Mughal emperor Aurangzeb gave grants to rebuild Hindu temples. However, responding to an RTI query the autonomous organisation of the government of India failed to give any evidence to back its claim.
