Aussie musicians are playing pop-up gigs across the city to bring live music back to Melbourne Gordi Surprise sets will be happening across the CBD over the next two weeks. Yesterday, Daryl Braithwaite surprised Melburnians with a pop-up gig in Degraves Street as part of the Victorian Government, Mushroom Group and City of Melbourne’s new initiative to bring live music back to the city. The series will see beloved Australian musicians appearing at some of the CBD’s most popular dining spots, with today set to feature a performance from Gordi somewhere in the city. The sets will be integrated with events such as the Melbourne Christmas Festival and Melbourne Music Week Extended to provide a range of entertainment throughout the city. They’ll also run alongside the ANZ City Vibes program which supports 40 buskers each day to perform across 20 city locations for the rest of 2020.
