Australian pharmacists want to administer vaccine 'sooner rather than later'28/05/2021|6min Pharmacy Guild of Australia Queensland Branch President Chris Owen says community pharmacists have the skills and resources necessary to assist in the COVID vaccine rollout. Over 4,000 pharmacists across the country have expressed interest in administering the vaccine which could see an additional 200,000 jabs provided to Australians every week. Mr Owen says pharmacists are itching to contribute to the rollout, likening the delay in the rollout to fielding legendary cricketer Sir Donald Bradman as the 12th man. “The holdup is the state and federal governments haven’t allowed us to put some players on the field,” he told Sky News.
