Avid Knowledge of the Game of Chess Has Helped Softball's Tr

Trinity Spear is a sophomore outfielder on the Morehead State University softball team, originally from Snellville, Ga., outside of Atlanta. She is new addition to the team as she transferred in from USC Upstate in the Fall.
While being new to the squad, she quickly found herself being an essential player on the team, starting in 29 of 30 games this season. So far she has made an impact in more ways than one.
"Trinity is a steadfast leader for our program. She brings a sense of empathy, compassion, and experience. We are thankful that she is an Eagle and does a great job creating a foundation of the inclusive environment we continue to strive for as a program," said head coach Sam Jones. "Trinity is well respected, and her presence is much appreciated by her teammates at her new home here in Morehead."
