 A singer who provided backup vocals for R&B artists like Mary J. Blige and Al B. Sure! has been shot in the neck after a stray bullet was fired into her apartment as she watched television.
Two groups of people started shooting at each other in the parking lot of Lakemoor Apartments in Durham, North Carolina, at around 10pm on April 26, police said. One person was killed and another injured outside.
The singer, who family members are only referring to as 'Grace' to protect her anonymity, was also injured when a bullet smashed through her window as she sat in her bedroom.
