Published January 7, 2021, 9:11 AM BAGUIO CITY – The City Health Service Office (CHSO) reported the 7 th death this month due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday as well as 19 new cases and 22 recoveries. The CHSO said a 41-year-old female was admitted at the Baguio City General Hospital and Medical Center on Dec.30 but died on Jan.6. At the start of the month, the city recorded a total of 72 deaths (1.79%); 304 active cases (7.56%), and 3,644 (90.65%) recoveries from the total confirmed cases of 4,020 since March, 2020. Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the city is preparing for the new strain of the COVID-19 which is said to be a fast-spreading variant.
