Ball State awarded $2.9M grant for COVID-19 learning recovery

MUNCIE, Ind. — With many local school systems and education organizations looking for new ways to keep students engaged this summer, a $2.9 million grant awarded to Ball State University's Teacher's College is intended to help bring in more learning recovery programs after a year of COVID-19.

Awarded last week by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE), the grant will support a wide-ranging learning project that will serve students in Muncie Community Schools, the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities, Burris Laboratory School and Inspire Academy.
