Updated 1/23/2021 4:00 PM Editor's note: This story was updated 1/23 to say that it's seniors who can go in for a full day. Barrington High School seniors who want to attend school in person will be able to so for the full day, five days a week, starting Monday. Barrington Area Unit District 220 Superintendent Brian Harris made the announcement Friday.
The district had started classes Jan. 19 with a hybrid model, meaning a combination of in-person and virtual learning. Students also have a choice to remain in all-remote learning. The change at the high school comes after a "significant" number of students recently shifted their selection from in-person to distance learning, Harris said.
