DHAKA: Bangladesh have ruled out batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das for their Twenty20 International series against Australia next month after they left the team’s coronavirus (Covid-19) bubble, a top cricket board official said on Tuesday. Mushfiqur and Liton left a recent tour of Zimbabwe early because of family emergencies and must isolate before rejoining the squad, said Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury. “Our agreed protocol with Australia is that a player has to be in a bio-secure zone at least 10 days before the series,” Chowdhury said. Australia are expected to arrive in Bangladesh on Wednesday for the five-match series, which starts from Aug 3 with all fixtures scheduled for Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
