Beaver County COVID numbers low but concerning

While the onslaught of new cases of COVID-19 is slowing, state officials say gathering and business restrictions won't be lifted until at least Jan. 4.
Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said Monday that state officials will meet throughout the week to determine what changes in mitigation will occur on Jan. 4, when state health orders restricting indoor dining, limiting public and private gatherings and shuttering indoor entertainment and recreation are set to expire.
Instead, Levine encouraged Pennsylvanians to stay the course and continue to limit their activities to slow the spread of the virus.
"It's critically important during the holiday weeks, as we approach New Year's, for people to continue as I've said, continue their mitigation efforts to continue to avoid large and small gatherings and really not to get together in gatherings over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day because that could still significantly spread the virus," Levine said.
