Juicers fall into three categories; Centrifugal juicers that blitz hard fruit at high speeds. They shed the skin and strain fruit to remove any seeds or pith. By nature, they can be noisy and allow more air into the liquid. This means pre-made juices have a shorter shelf-life. Masticating juicers offer slower cold pressing that pack in more nutritional content. With this design, you may need to prep the fruit by cutting and peeling but it’s quieter and the juice will last longer. Citrus juicers for fresh orange, lemon or lime juices (handy for cocktails). These have a singular purpose and require halving the fruits first.
