Powerloom owners in Bhiwandi, a town in Maharashtra's Thane district, have taken the decision to initiate a complete shutdown of their units from November 1 to November 20. The purpose behind this action is to exert pressure on the government and draw attention to their long-standing demands. Approximately 700 powerloom owners convened a meeting and collectively agreed to the 20-day shutdown as a means to address their concerns, which encompass various issues such as yarn prices, taxes, and electricity rates.
