Ro’daryus Mitchell, 23, and Jae’Vontea Taylor, 18, were located in Birmingham and taken into custody on Tuesday by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Their arrest was announced in a Wednesday news release by the Tuscaloosa Police Department. The two men were sought on warrants by Tuscaloosa police charging them with 22 felony counts of breaking into vehicles. They are also suspected of breaking into vehicles parked at hotels across Alabama. “They were traveling all over the state, targeting people staying at hotels, mainly going after guns, and furthering some other crimes in Birmingham," said TPD Criminal Investigator Jeff Curvin. "It’s good to get some guns off the street and quit having some of these stolen.”
