Thursday, February 4, 2021 A hand waving from a car's rear tail-light has alerted police to a kidnapping in the Southern Highlands. A truck driver reported the incident to authorities, after driving behind the vehicle on the Hume Highway. Highway Patrol officers stopped the car just before midday, the 24-year-old victim was found with wounds to her knee, thigh, and forearm. She was raced to Liverpool hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Chief Inspector Brendan Bernie says it's a miracle she's alive. Two other women - 24 and 18 - were arrested and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station. The 24-year-old woman was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, abduction occasioning actual bodily harm, driving while disqualified and drug possession.
