An alleged car boot abduction in Sydney’s south has taken a surprise twist after a warrant was issued for the victim’s arrest over a criminal charge she is facing in Queensland.
Nisha Phillips – who was rescued from the boot of her own car after catching the attention of a passing motorist by waving her hand out of a hole created by a missing tail-light – had a scheduled court date at Ipswich Magistrates Court near Brisbane on Friday. ....

Two women have been charged after police allegedly found them driving with a stabbed 24-year-old in the boot of a car.
Latia Henderson, 18, and Kayley Ketley, 24, were hit with a slew of charges last night after a truck driver spotted a hand sticking out from a hole in the boot, according to police.
The Holden Commodore had been travelling down the Hume Highway, near Berrima in the Southern Highlands, at around 11.30am yesterday when the driver spotted the woman s hand.
Latia Henderson, 18, has been charged.
According to police, the 24-year-old had managed to pop out the tail light of the Holden Commodore after she was allegedly stuffed in the car s boot and had been frantically waving her hand through the small hole when she was spotted. ....

Bizarre kidnapping unfolds in Southern Highlands

A hand waving from a car s rear tail-light has alerted police to a kidnapping in the Southern Highlands.
A truck driver reported the incident to authorities, after driving behind the vehicle on the Hume Highway.
Highway Patrol officers stopped the car just before midday, the 24-year-old victim was found with wounds to her knee, thigh, and forearm.
She was raced to Liverpool hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Chief Inspector Brendan Bernie says it s a miracle she s alive.
Two other women - 24 and 18 - were arrested and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station.
The 24-year-old woman was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, abduction occasioning actual bodily harm, driving while disqualified and drug possession. ....

Incredible details have emerged of how a young woman who was allegedly stabbed before being stuffed into the boot of a Holden Commodore managed to alert passing motorists for help.
The woman, 24, managed to smash the tail light and wave her bloodied hand through the hole as the car was driven along the Hume Highway in Berrima in the NSW Southern Highlands on Wednesday morning, police said.
She managed to attract the attention of a passing truck driver, who called police.
Officers stopped the car shortly before midday and allegedly found the woman suffering stab wounds to her knee, thigh and forearm as her two alleged kidnappers were arrested. ....
