Blackburn special school set to move to Darwen

Crosshill School is now in the Blackburn Central complex
PLANS have been revealed to move a Blackburn special school to Darwen.
Senior councillors will next week be asked to confirm the relocation of Crosshill School to the vacant Sunnyhurst Centre.
The £2million proposal to move Crosshill from the Blackburn Central High School site is one of three outlined in a major education spending package.
It has been backed by Darwen East Liberal Democrat Cllr Paul Browne.
The others are a £2.1m school expansion at Lammack Community Primary School, increasing pupil capacity from 490 to 630 and a £660,000 scheme to relocate Longshaw Nursery School to the nearby Longshaw Infants site.
