BMW Australia recalls nearly 17,000 vehicles over concerns a connecting plug could spark a fire


BMW has issued an urgent recall for almost 17,000 cars over fears drivers of two different models could be at risk of a vehicle fire. 
Drivers of the BMW E70 X5 and BMW E71 X6 cars with model years between 2007 and 2010 will be impacted by the national recall. 
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission announced the recall on Monday, with the luxury vehicle company to contact all known owners of the car.

Concerns have been raised a plug connecting the wiring harness to the blower control could deteriorate over time.
