BMW will offer more affordable luxury electric cars "for a long time, not a short time" as it undercuts Lexus UX300e and Mercedes EQA with iX1 and iX2 EVs - Car News

At the Australian launch of the 2024 X2 and iX2, BMW completed its goal to offer six models priced under the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) threshold. Entry-grade iX2 xDrive20 and up-spec xDrive30 variants join the iX1, iX3 and i4 Gran Coupe priced under the $89,332 LCT threshold for fuel efficient vehicles, which allows more BMW customers to take advantage of the Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) exemption for novated leases.
