Boeing to support British air force Poseidon fleet for next five years Xinhua 09 Jul 2021, 07:55 GMT+10 SAN FRANCISCO, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Boeing announced on Thursday that it has signed an agreement with the British Ministry of Defence for Boeing to support the Royal Air Force (RAF) fleet of Poseidon MRA1 maritime patrol aircraft and train the crews that operate them for the next five years. Under the aircraft and training support contract, valued at 321.6 million U.S. dollars, Boeing will provide maintenance services, spares and repairs. These agreements will create 150 jobs in the UK, the announcement said. "We are excited to see our continued growing presence in Scotland with the creation of these highly-skilled jobs, in addition to our existing footprint of more than 2,500 employees across the UK," said Anna Keeling, managing director of Boeing Defence UK.
