Brasshouse incident: Man suffers lifelong injuries after being thrown out of Dunfermline club by doorman


A VISITOR to Dunfermline sustained lifelong injuries when he was thrown out of a nightclub by a doorman.
The man sustained a fractured kneecap and deep facial cut after being ejected from the Brasshouse by staff member Thomas Bater.
The incident was captured on CCTV, which showed the injured man lying sprawled on the pavement outside the venue.
Bater, 30, of Leadside Crescent, Wellwood, was found guilty after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He had denied that on April 1, 2018, at Carnegie Drive, he assaulted the victim by pushing him on the body, causing him to the fall to the ground, whereby he was rendered unconscious, all to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement and permanent impairment.
