975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be given out to patients today and tomorrow. The Adver went along to the opening of the town’s vaccination centre where GPs, nurses and pharmacists worked together to administer the jab. Elderly people shared their joy at taking a small step towards normality. Pauline Atkins, 83, from Toothill, told the Adver: "I feel fine. It's all been okay. I'm just looking forward to being able to go out and mix with the family again. “It was very difficult not being able to see the grandchildren. Pauline received a call to go to Steam for the vaccine last week. She said: “I was quite surprised and excited but I didn't expect it so soon.”
