Dryden, ON, Canada / CKDR Apr 9, 2021 11:26 AM It appears the marriage is over between the British Columbia Hockey League and the Canadian Junior Hockey League. The BCHL has submitted a notice to withdraw their membership from the CJHL, effective March 24. The league has been there since the beginning and was one of the catalysts behind the creation of the Canadian Junior A Hockey League in 1993. The CJHL says the remaining nine Leagues within the CJHL, including the Superior International Junior Hockey League, will continue with their commitment to player development, through their Partnership with Hockey Canada, and its members, as well as the National Hockey League, which includes the presentation of the Centennial Cup national championship, the World Junior A Challenge, and the CJHL Prospects game.
