Premium Content Subscriber only A regional Central Queensland school was completely run dry on Monday, relying on community members from surrounding towns to urgently transport bottles of water purchased at supermarkets to the small school. It is understood Valkyrie State School, about 50km south of Nebo on the Fitzroy Developmental Road, had to have bottled water and a water truck sent in on Monday morning for drinking water and amenities. Although it seems this isnât the first time the water supply issue has occurred. Valkyrie State School doesnât have a permanent water supply and relies on rain and numerous rainwater storage tanks on the school grounds.
