BU halts on-campus vaccination program despite approval of Johnson & Johnson vaccine Over 80 percent of students are vaccinated or are in the process of getting vaccinated, according to campus survey May 3, 2021 As the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 vaccine is greenlighted again by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Binghamton University has no plans on continuing the on-campus vaccination program. The University decided not to resume administering the J&J vaccine due to the result of a campus-wide survey regarding student vaccinations sent via email to students. According to Ryan Yarosh, senior director of media and public relations at BU, based on over 7,000 responses, the survey reported more than 80 percent of students are vaccinated or in the process of being vaccinated.
