The government has conducted a major bureaucratic reshuffle exercise ahead of Union Budget 2021-22 PM Narendra Modi  |  Photo Credit: ANI With just a week to go for Union Budget 2020-21 to be presented in the Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the central government has reshuffled top-level bureaucratic positions. Among key positions, senior IAS officer Alok Tandon has been appointed mines secretary. He is a 1986-batch IAS officer who is currently serves at his cadre state Uttar Pradesh, as per PTI. Deepak Khandekar, the Tribal Affairs Secretary has been made Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Secretary. Upendra Prasad Singh, Secretary of Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has-been made secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
