We’ve got great news coming for the students of three intermediate school districts in Northern Michigan, thanks to the Marshall Plan for Talent Grant. The grant is designed to fund and support school districts to expand the college and career experiences students receive, specifically to increase awareness and provide exposure to STEM and skilled trade careers. This year COP ESD (Cheboygan-Otsego-Presque Isle Educational School District), COOR (Crawford-Ogemaw-Oscoda-Roscommon Intermediate School District) and IOSCO IRESA (Iosco Regional Education Service Agency) and the Industrial Arts Institute will have summer program opportunities for students in grades 7-9. Students will be exploring career paths in manufacturing, welding, electricity, automotive, mechatronics, and building trades.
